Abstract

"Cover Story" piece on Boothby & Bartlett Insurance Agency of Waterville, which is one of only 10 Maine companies incorporated in 1900 that are still in business. Arthur O'Halloran joined the company in 1956 and today his son, Daniel J., is its president and sole shareholder. Daniel, who worked for Unum in Philadelphia for six years, bought the firm in 1998. Today the company employs 28, insures about 10,000 clients and handles $10-11 million in property and casualty premiums annually.
