Abstract

The Rayne's Marsh Waterfowl Project, part of a mitigation project began in 1974 when the section of I-95 between Brunswick and Gardiner was constructed, has been on hold for nearly 20 years because of local landowner opposition. The purchase of Rayne's farm five years ago by Richmond businessman Gary Nash will allow the project to proceed, starting with the erection of a fowl fence and the construction of a dam in an existing culvert.
