Abstract
"Books & the Arts" piece on Maine artists who are helping to create a more healing environment at Midcoast Hospital in Brunswick, the Barron Center in Portland, and in Bangor where they are working with disabled citizens to help them integrate into the community. All three of these are pilot programs, funded in part by a New Century Artists in Communities grant from the Maine Arts Commission.
