Abstract
Editorial on how ecotourism might define a new tourism in Maine. The more land that is successfully preserved in Maine, the more buffers there will be between over-developed tourism destinations, and the better the chances will be for ecotourism to flourish. The aggressive purchase of public land can sustain ecotourism and perhaps reshape the practice of tourism.
