Abstract

York voters last week approved an ordinance establishing fees for new residential construction and additions to established homes. Voters also approved a ban on fast-food restaurants anywhere in town. York has a population of 11,500, an increase of nearly 15 percent since the last census, and some view the town as a suburb of Boston.
