Abstract

The Baxter State Park advisory committee has recommended that the 2,667-acre parcel recently acquired by the park be managed as a wildlife sanctuary that would exclude hunting and trapping. The three-member Baxter State Park Authority will vote on the matter next month. The parcel was purchased for $480,000, with the money coming from a land acqusition fund from former governor Percival Baxter. Details.
