Abstract

Feature article on mudrunning, which involves racing a truck through a man-made bog without getting stuck or broken down. The races are generally not listed by the Maine Publicity Bureau. They're held in unnamed fields off back roads in small towns like Fayette, Starks and Detroit, and they're often weekend-long encampments. With a schedule of Maine Mud Bog Association sanctioned races for 2000.
