Abstract

The Maine Supreme Judicial Court on July 11 issued an administrative order that limits television coverage of criminal trials to arraignments and sentencings. The ruling comes eight months after a Special Advisory Committee report on the two-year experiment with cameras in the courtroom. Most of the judges that participated inthe experiment were in favor of continued coverage of some form. Details.
