Bottom image: Portrait of Sally Silverman Wigon, business owner and daughter of founder Joe Wigon. The office supplies and fixtures store began in 1932, at 28 Free Street.
Having grown up with the family business, "As an infant, she was in a carton in the window," Sally Wigon said. Even years later, "I would have people come up to me and say, 'Whatever happened to that kid in the window?' "
