Abstract

"Making It In Maine" piece on Artforms, a Portland-based company that makes screen-printed T-shirts and other apparel featuring environmentally inspired artwork. Artist Liz Kuhn and Bremen urchin fisherman Kip Stone started the company in 1988. Today, Artforms has fifteen employees and a 10-000-square-foot building in Portland, and is taking in some $2 million a year based on Kuhn's designs of manatees and moose, puffins and pandas.
