Abstract
"Making It In Maine" piece on Shoe Renu, Tim Farley's shoe-repair business in Brunswick. Farley has been in footwear since 1970, when he went to work in the retail shoe department at L.L. Bean in Freeport. With Bean moving much of its shoe business overseas, Farley was let go in 1990, and he hired two of his former Bean employees and opened Shoe Renu. Today, Shoe Renu is one of the few shoe repair shops on the coast north of Portland.
