Abstract

Whitsend, a cottage on Great East Lake in Acton, was built by Massachusetts couple Janice and Dan Whitney to blend into a site on which an old cottage once stood. The Craftsman styling and impressive fieldstone fireplace were part of carefully thought-out plan that was realized with assistance from TMS Architects in Portsmouth, NH.
