Brunswick residents, led by the Local Redevelopment Authority, are sharing their ideas for redevelopment of Brunswick Naval Air Station properties, a process that must culminate in a master zoning plan by Sept. 2007. Ideas being floated include an airport, a research and development park, and a university. Brunswick School Superintendent Jim Ashe says far more than the decrease in federal funding, the community will miss the experience and involvement of Navy spouses and personnel.
