Abstract
Brunswick residents, led by the Local Redevelopment Authority, are sharing their ideas for redevelopment of Brunswick Naval Air Station properties, a process that must culminate in a master zoning plan by Sept. 2007. Ideas being floated include an airport, a research and development park, and a university. Brunswick School Superintendent Jim Ashe says far more than the decrease in federal funding, the community will miss the experience and involvement of Navy spouses and personnel. With details on various proposals for the town and statistics on BNAS's assets and regional economic impact.
