Abstract

An excerpt from an interview with Randy Cushman of Port Clyde in 2010 after fisheries were managed through sectors. Cushman is captain of the F/V Ella Christine and a fourth generation fisherman. He discusses some of the changes he's seen during the years he's been fishing, including new technology, equipment, and the impact of federal fisheries management which started in 1978. He also talks about his struggle to continue his family's fishing heritage.
