Abstract

"Focus on Human Resources" piece on Bridgton-based Stevens Wellspring Group and President Richard "Steve" Stevens. The company provides employee assistance programs (EAP) to clients across the country on a fee-for-service basis. It offers credit counseling, financial planning, legal support services, wellness advice, and drug testing and other screenings. Although the company has a number of large clients, like Bates College in Lewiston, Stevens says it's the smaller companies, which often don't have a dedicated HR staff, that can benefit most from an EAP.
