Abstract

A recent report from the Brookings Institute states that between 2003 and 2010 Maine's "clean economy" jobs grew by 4% per year and that almost half of these jobs are held by workers with the equivalent of a high school diploma or less. Most of Maine's clean economy jobs are in the fields of conservation, public mass transportation, and waste management and treatment.
