Abstract

Maine Medical Center Research Institute has attracted talented researchers and grant money to fund their research. The article profiles Peter Brooks, a senior researcher and principal investigator at the Center for Molecular Medicine, and his research on cancer therapies. Some of his research, as well as research by some his colleagues, has been licensed by other companies. Michaela Regan, a Harvard Medical School postdoctoral candidate studying multiple myeloma, will be joining the center. A text box highlighting the educational backgrounds and research of Brooks, and fellow researchers Clifford Rosen and Robert Friesel is included. [images]
