Abstract

"this just in" piece on the difficulties facing local dog owners in light of recent enforcement of a no-dog policy at the three Portland locations of Coffee By Design after a customer complained to the city. Next week, Scarborough will hold a hearing on a proposal to ban dogs on the town's beaches from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. during the summer, and enforce a leash law at all other times except the crack of dawn.
