Abstract

"this just in" piece on the decision by the Maine Department of Labor to grant reporter Ted Cohen unemployment benefits, a decision that vindicates Cohen's claims about harassment at the Portland Press Herald. The Bureau of Unemployment Compensation wasn't persuaded by the Portland Press Herald's claim that Cohen left his job over a personality dispute with his editor Ryan Blethen. A union grievance filed on Cohen's behalf is still pending.
