Abstract

Portland school superintendent Thomas Edwards has decided to allow Outright Portland, a support group for homosexual teenagers, to make a presentation to Portland high school students. The group has made presentations at the city's high schools for five years, but a presentation scheduled for October was cancelled because it was feared that it would violate new guidelines which mandate various points of view in school presentations.
