Abstract

An Amblin Productions film about Casper the friendly ghost will be shot in Los Angeles, despite the fact that Casper's claims Friendship, Maine, as his home town. The Maine State Film Commission lobbied hard to get producers to choose Maine as the primary location for filming but were spurned in their efforts.
