Abstract

Portland school officials say the recent controversial redistricting plan for the elementary schools is not a permanent solution to school crowding. Meanwhile, the group of Riverton Community School parents who had lobbied against the plan submitted a bill to the Legislature to prohibit discrimination when district boundaries are set.
