Abstract

The town of Unity is on the state's list of potential sites for a low-level nuclear waste dump, prompting the formation of a group of residents opposed to the siting of a dump in their town and willing to fight against it. The Unity Alliance made its feelings clear at a recent Low-level Radioactive Waste Authority meeting, and plan to enlist the aid of a lawyer, a biologist and a geologist to get their town removed from consideration.
