Abstract

A bill that would place a $200 limit on campaign contributions by individuals and corporations won initial approval by a 103-35 vote in the Maine House of Representatives. Under the current law, individuals can contribute $1,000 and corporations can contribute $5,000 to any candidate for governor, the House or the Senate.
