Abstract

Judi Perkins, 37, of Freeport, has been diagnosed with porphyria, a rare blood disease which costs her employer $2,500 per week for her blood treatments. Perkins will exceed her lifetime insurance coverage in five years, and is hoping that President Clinton's health care reform proposals will offer her some relief before then.
