The Baysider

Produced by the Bayside Neighborhood Association- in Portland, Maine- The Baysider, which began as The Bayside Newsletter, followed by Inside Bayside, provided community news in an inner-city Portland neighborhood. Bayside is flanked by Parkside, Back Cove, Downtown (a.k.a. Intown), and the East End.
Feature articles focused on Bayside, though also included many city matters such as business, development, housing, events, and city history. A regular feature was a column written by local historian and state legislator, Congressman Herbert Adams.
The Bayside Neighborhood Association's mission emphasizes: "building meaningful partnerships that promote health, safety, green spaces, diversity, housing, and sustainable development for all who live, work, and play in this unique urban neighborhood.”
