Beginning in 1903 as Dun Emer Press, Cuala Press (pronounced "KOO-la") passed down from founder Evelyn Gleeson, to William Butler Yeats' sisters Elizabeth Corbett "Lolly" Yeats, and Susan Mary "Lily" Yeats, in 1908. Their brother Jack B. Yeats provided many illustrations in the Press' work, which promoted Irish cultural heritage and decorative arts.
