Abstract

The author discusses the DEI movement in the United States and how the ideal would be not to consider it as a separate topic but to integrate it seamlessly into all our actions. She gives some examples of organizations where DEI work was embedded in the culture, such as a Tanzanian hospital where she interned, and in a global health organization based in Haiti that included local people at all levels of the organization.
