Abstract

Profile of Mana Abdi of Lewiston, Maine, candidate for the Maine House of Representatives, District 95. Abdi is a 26-year-old Somali woman who was born in Kenya, and has lived in the US since the age of 13. Her platform focuses on improving housing and education. Candidacy is supported by Maine People's Alliance. Along with Deqa Dhalac of South Portland, would be the first immigrant woman to be elected to the Maine House. Includes photo of Mana Abdi, and Mohamed Ibrahim of Maine People's Alliance with Mana Abdi.
