Abstract

Farmers from Cultivating Community, Liberation Farms, and New Roots Farm reflect on the challenges of last summer and some of their goals for 2024. Omasombo Katuka said that Cultivating Community needs more land. Liberation Farm's Fadumo Libah, Habibo Salat, Hassan Mohamed, and Maryan Mohamed all discuss the challenges of growing during last summer's extreme wet weather. And Mahamad Sheikh of New Roots Farm also talks about last year's rain and also about bringing in two more farm members to help meet the great demand for fresh African vegetables.
