Abstract
Brief profile of Usira Ali, a candidate for Portland's vacant At-Large School Board seat. The 23-year old graduate of Bowdoin College (she majored in biochemistry) was born in Somalia and has been in Maine since she was 12. Ali hopes to make the process of going to college more accessible for immigrant communities.
