Abstract

In-depth profile of Mahassein Obaid Arbab, a human rights activist currently based in the United States. She was born in Northern Sudan and began participating in civil rights protests as a teenager in Sudan. This biographical piece provides details about her student days, the threats she faced, and how she came to the U.S. Arbab is also a multimedia artist. Today, at age 78, she continues to advocate for the people of Sudan.
