Abstract

Brief profile of artist Serafim Ysollo. Ysollo grew up in Angola. After losing his mother when he was 7, he became homeless. He turned to art for solace, using scrap materials. He managed to attend art school, and, as an adult, moved to Lewiston, Maine, where he has become a participant in many local art initiatives and where he continues to paint and exhibit.
