Abstract

January 2022's update on the proceedings of the 130th Maine Legislature. Bills discussed include LD 2, "An Act to Require the Inclusion of Racial Impact Statements in the Legislative Process;" LD 679, which would expand access to free school meals; LD 718, which would allow all Mainers access to MaineCare regardless of immigration status; several bills aimed at addressing the Maine Indian Claims Settlement Implementation Act of 1980; LD 151, which would allow farm workers to unionize; and LD 764, about the sealing of criminal records.
