Abstract
"Politics & Other Mistakes" on Maine Won't Discriminate post-referendum. Most MWD members support a statewide gay-rights law, but many observers feel that a bill wouldn't be passed by the Maine House, and if it did it would be repealed by a Christian Civic League of Maine-sponsored referendum. One strategy would be to get gay-rights laws passed on the municipal level, which would make it easier to convince the Legislature to pass a law.
