Abstract

Neil Taliento, director of the Portland West Neighborhood Planning Council's YouthBuild program for six years, on December 4 ended his affiliation with the program. Peter O'Donnell, executive director of Portland West, wouldn't say if Taliento resigned or was fired. Staffers were apparently told that Taliento was dismissed for insubordination after he didn't cooperate with officials looking for a YouthBuild participant reported missing from the Maine Youth Center.
