Abstract
Larry Adlerstein, president of Artist & Craftsman Supply of Portland, recently signed a five-year lease for the Maine College of Art's 3,100-square-foot first-floor retail space. Adlerstein plans to split the space between art supplies and a breakfast-and-lunch restaurant. Dan Molloy of Congress Street Diner and Eric Flynn of Daddy's, both restaurants close to MECA's new building on Congress Street in Portland, are concerned about the impact Adlerstein's establishment will have on existing eateries.
