"Edge" piece on Big Sound, a recording studio in Westbrook. Joe Brien, 36, a native of Portland, and investor/partner Tom Daly, owner of Fishtraks Recording Studio of Portsmouth, opened Big Sound in 1992. A number of Maine bands have recorded at Big Sound, and CherryDisc Records of Boston sends many of its bands to record at the studio. Details.
