Abstract

"City" piece on the new parking garage on Cumberland between Preble and Elm streets in Portland. The 648-space garage is nearing completion, and the massive structure is drawing mixed reviews. Members of the Portland Planning Board last spring expressed concern about the garage's design when the project was under review. Many who work downtown and have dealt with limited parking are welcoming the new garage.
