Abstract
The Cumberland County Board of Commissioners this month voted 2-1 against creating a charter commission that could restructure county government. Commissioner Peter Feeney voted for the measure, and doesn't think the county should be run by state statutes. Feeney also wants commissioners to appoint county officials, who are currently elected, and believes the number of commissioners should be increased.
