Abstract

"City" piece on grantwriter Skip Matson, who encouraged Sagamore Village residents to obtain a $50,000 federal grant to fund the community gardens they had already been growing. Matson kept $18,000 for himself, plus $7,000 from a grant for GED courses in Kennedy Park. The University of Maine -- listed as a co-applicant -- has nothing to do with the project. Details.
