Abstract

The nine-member Cumberland County budget committee is recommending setting the annual salary for the county's four elected department heads at $15,000. Committee members are frustrated by the elected officials' lack of accountability, and by a budget that is growing out of control. County commissioners are undecided about the committee's recommendation.
