Abstract

The state Office of Substance Abuse has given the Arnie Hanson Center on India Street in Portland a conditional license. The center, Portland's only shelter for alcoholics, has until the middle of March to improve conditions if it wants to remain open. Under normal conditions, the center would have been relicensed for up to two years. Details.
