Abstract

Former state representative Annette Hoglund of Portland on February 10 filed a court notice of her plans to sue Casco Bay Week for libel. Hoglund cited articles published between February 1997 and February 1998 that dealt with her campaign fundraising. Jonathon Piper, attorney for CBW, said the claims appeared to be an attempt to quiet the press.
