Abstract

"Edge" piece on the Westbrook Tuffy Football cheerleading program, which has enrolled 160 girls, ages 5-12, from Portland, Gorham, Windham, Westbrook, and South Portland. Julie Dvilinsky, 30, initiated the program, She is the president, and she and her coaches emphasize fun and athleticism over the traditonal emphasis on appearance and popularity.
