Abstract

Profile of Portland attorney Dan Lilley, 60, who graduated from Boston University's School of Law in 1967 and began practicing law as a prosecutor with the Maine attorney general's office in Augusta. Lilley established his private law practice in Portland in 1969. His most celebrated cases included service as the defense attorney for Truman Dongo, who was accused of killing movie director Jon Pownall in Portland, and Jacqueline Bevins, a York County woman who shot her husband 15 times.
