Abstract
"City" piece featuring an interview with Sally Sutton, executive director of the Maine Civil Liberties Union (MCLU), on its 30th anniversary. With an explanation of the MCLU's mission, why so many view the MCLU negatively, who the MCLU attorneys are, and Sutton's views on civil rights. With reference to a legal battle between the Public Utilities Commission (PUC) and Central Maine Power (CMP), which the MCLU is representing because CMP is claiming PUC rules are a restraint on free speech.
