Abstract
"City" piece on the ever-increasing number of candidates vying for seats on the Portland City Council and School Committee. David Costa, a University of Maine Law School student, is running in a three-way race for incumbent Jack Dawson's City Council at-large position. School Committee incumbent Jim Banks will give up his East Deering district seat and run instead for incumbent Steve Huntley's at-large seat. And Jill Duson, a Northern Utilities communications manager, wants to replace incumbent David Ripley, who doesn't yet know if he will seek another term.
