Abstract

"Essay" piece on Norman Dickinson, who served seven years in prison for kidnapping a woman from the Maine Mall parking lot in 1989. The author claims that an earlier article by Connie Pacillo published in the March 4 edition of the Casco Bay Weekly is in error. Pacillo's article referred to Dickinson as a "sex offender," but Dickinson did not rape the victim. Pacillo is also criticized for not writing about the virtual nonexistence of counseling services in the state's prisons.
